I Went to Verify 'Codex Can't Self-Correct.' My Own Client Hung Up First.
A blog post claimed Codex's main session has no self-correction ability and gets led astray by subagents — unlike Claude — and advised keeping context under 300k. I had just wired Kimi K3 into my Web Claude Code Pilot and wanted to know if it could orchestrate, so I tested the claim. Both k3 and Sol have introspection; the 300k advice is moot because Codex compacts at 258.4k. And the 'Codex main session produced nothing' symptom was my own client closing the stream early — a bug that lives only on the Codex lane.
